More than somewhere to stay

A place to belong.
A reason to care.

Eco Camp Samoa is a project by Lumanai Pasifika Ltd, a Samoan-owned and operated business. We are finalising the design for our Lalomanu camp and intend to begin building in early 2027, creating a shared place for Samoan communities and visitors from overseas.

01 / AIGA & COMMUNITY

Built around people.

A project by Lumanai Pasifika Ltd, a Samoan-owned and operated business working to create local jobs, develop skills and generate resources for aiga and community development.

02 / SAMOAN KNOWLEDGE

Rooted in place.

Design grounded in Samoan traditions, local knowledge and locally available materials. Cultural experiences shaped and led by aiga and the local community.

03 / SHARED EXPERIENCES

Grow together.

Share food, stories and knowledge. Make space for adventure, reflection, respect for place and a strong sense of belonging.

An adventure with purpose.

Our vision brings reef-based learning together with coral and coastal restoration, conservation projects and volunteer programmes delivered with suitable local partners.

Ocean activities and restoration participation will depend on local partnerships, conditions and appropriate site and safety planning. Programme dates and availability will be confirmed as development progresses.

The home of Pasifika Conservation Corps

A headquarters.
A base for action.

Eco Camp Samoa will be the headquarters and operational base for Pasifika Conservation Corps, bringing environmental education, community participation and practical conservation work together.

Learn here. Take action together.

The camp will provide a place for the Corps to meet, train, plan projects and welcome volunteers and community partners. From this base, we will develop programmes that connect people with the care of Samoa’s land, reefs and ocean.

Coral reef planting, environmental learning and hands-on conservation will be part of the camp’s purpose, alongside outdoor adventure, cultural exchange and opportunities to explore Samoa.

Proposed experiences & programmes

Challenge yourself.
Connect with Samoa.

From day activities to multi-day camps and retreats, the programme vision creates opportunities to try new things and learn together.

Ocean adventures

Kayaking, sailing, snorkelling, diving and reef-based learning are proposed for the coastal setting.

Outdoor challenges

High and low ropes, climbing, abseiling, a confidence course and archery to build confidence and teamwork.

Youth leadership

Outdoor challenges, shared reflection and group activities to develop resilience, confidence and leadership.

Cultural exchange

Learn about Samoan life, values and traditions through experiences developed with local aiga and community.

Retreats & wellbeing

Planned leadership, team development, wellbeing and supported personal-development retreats.

Practical learning

Workshops, outdoor education, first-aid training and community programmes in shared learning spaces.

These are proposed activities, not a confirmed operating schedule. Opening activities, staffing and equipment are part of the next planning stage.
